Advanced Manufacturing Fiber Composite Technician - Competency-Based
Utilizes a fundamental understanding of innovative products such as graphite, carbon fiber, fiberglass or Kevlar fiber reinforcement material properties and behavior, fabric weave styles, matrix systems, manufacturing processes, tooling design and curing techniques to achieve desired properties in composite structures. Fabricate parts to meet specifications and repair damaged items. Apply proper testing techniques to determine material properties, detect damages, apply repair methods to maintain or restore structural integrity in solid and sandwich laminates, and ensure that appropriate personal health and environmental safety controls are followed.
